The Smithfield Rescue Mission is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the well-being of those in need of the basic necessities of life, such as shelter, food, clothing and toiletries, as well as educational, emotional and spiritual guidance.
Our outreach is to the community at large as well as to those people who are suffering hardship. Our ministry is three-fold to those in need:
1. Salvation: To bring people into a right relationship with God through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
2. Restoration: To give people the opportunity to regain what they have lost through unfortunate circumstances or bad decisions in life, with the goal of achieving a productive lifestyle.
3. Mentoring: To aid people in the process of rediscovering values necessary to their well-being.
To the community at large:
- To share resources when we have an abundance.
- To reach out to neighbors in need, with food and friendship.
